Paul Kenny was born in Sheffield in 1964. On leaving school at sixteen he worked in a variety of menial jobs before becoming a Youth and Community worker on the estate on which he grew up. At 26 he returned to full time education and gained a qualification in Social Work at Nottingham University and has subsequently worked as a Probation Officer for the last eighteen years.
He took up writing in 1998 with the intention of creating the next great British sitcom, however the pull of ‘real life’ became too much and he eventually turned his attention to drama.
A fan of radio drama and the respect this genre affords the listener, Paul is now working on his fourth play, A Mother’s Love and looking forward to any positive fall out from the release of Shared, his first play with The Wireless Theatre Company.
