Julian England


Julian is the main writer of the OXY Show. He is an actor, writer and director. Previous sketch shows he has worked on as a writer and a director include Spasm and The Invisible Bob Show, both of which went to the Edinburgh Festival. He has also acted In the stage and screen versions of the Leisure Virus sketch show by Chris Head and Barry Ferns.

As well as the OXY Show he is currently writing and performing in This Sketch Show Belongs To Lionel Richie, which will be staged at the Gilded Balloon during the 2008 Edinburgh Festival. As well as sketch comedy, Julian has also co-written and directed the pantomime Babes In The Wood for the LOST theatre. Other directing credits include plays as diverse as Our Country’s Good, The Seagull, Blue Remembered Hills and Leonardo’s Last Supper (for which he won the LOST one act festival best director award). His acting roles include Dogberry in Much Ado About Nothing, Solyony in Three Sisters and the Emperor Chop Suey in Aladdin.
