Joyce trained at Juilliard and the Herbert Berghof - Uta Hagen Studio in New York, the London School of Contemporary Dance, and with  Doreen Cannon, Head of Acting at RADA. She has an extensive CV of major roles in West End, Rep and London theatre, including West End Saturday Night Fever and many leading roles including five Neil Simon comedies. Numerous TV and film credits include award-winning US studio and British film productions, such as Sally Potter’s The Man Who Cried, The Death of Klinghoffer, The Good Night, A Place to Stay, the female lead in the ITV series The Ink Thief and series roles for BBC TV and C4.

Joyce’s radio and voice work includes, for BBC Radio 4: the series Minor Characters, A Candle for Casey, the series Little House on the Prairie; Woody Allen’s The Kugelmass Episode for BBC Radio 3, Judy Brodsky’s Emotional Cambridge for BBC Radio Cambridge, and radio commercials for Pepsi and the National Lottery. She voiced the female lead in the cinema animation Drugworld, as well as voices for Superman IV, Angel Heart and Visioner.

Joyce will be playing the part of Mrs. Schumacher in DIRTY DANCING at the Aldwych Theatre from August 2009.h
