Born and raised in a small Sussex village, Jane went on to study Arabic at University - a move that lead her to travel extensively in the Middle East and North Africa.
She has worn various hats, including that of tour guide, translator and teacher, all of which she believes have helped develop an awareness of language and its importance in bridging cultural and social divides.
In recent years her feet have made their way back to Paris where she has finally set down roots. Working in education and cultural awareness, she nonetheless finds time to pursue her real passion : writing!
A keen diarist from a young age, Jane has been scribbling pretty much everywhere she's been, her pen making quite a journey of its own through short stories, poetry and travel journalism before recently coming to roost in audio drama.
Battle Cries is her first radio play and was inspired by the "Arab Spring" of 2011.
