Register/Sign Up process for members from our previous website

All members from the old site will continue to enjoy complimentary unlimited access to our plays, which will expire at Midnight on 31st March 2014.

Many of our original members used non-email username details on our “old site”, and the most important change is that your email address now becomes your user name on this site, any other usernames will no longer work.

You will need to set up a password for the new site using the process below. (You will only need to do this once!!)

1) Locate the ‘Login/Register’ tab on the left of the screen and click on it, as highlighted by the blue arrow in the screen shot below:

5) Click on the password reset link in the email, and follow the on-screen instructions to reset your password.

IMPORTANT... Once you have re-set your password and are back to our home page, You’ll be able to browse the plays and listen to previews, but to actually download plays you need to be logged in.

To check that you are actually logged in, locate the white tab on the left of the screen as shown by the red arrow in the screenshot below;

FAQ_5

  • If the tab reads “Profile/Logout”, you are now logged in, and enjoy the plays!

If no password reset email from us arrives into your email inbox, please first try the reset process above once more, and be sure to allow for up to fifteen minute’s delay in the systems updating.

If there is still no password reset email arriving in your inbox after 15 minutes, this is most likely due to one of two reasons below;

a) The email from us has ended up in your spam or junk filters (most likely) OR:

b) Your ISP/email provider is routinely blocking robot or spam emails and may be identifying our password reset emails as one of those.

Therefore please first check your spam/junk folder. If there is no email from our system in there either, it’s almost certainly due to filtering by your ISP/email provider. Unfortunately all that can be done in this case is either;

I.          You will need to contact your email service provider and ask them to allow email to be received from this domain:  wtc@tessarus.com.

II.          As a more extreme measure, we can cancel your account altogether and start you afresh, however there is a administration fee of £25.00 + VAT for doing this, which is what our payments provider charges us for this. If you wish to avail of this action or have any other concerns on this process, please email us at support@wirelesstheatre.co.uk

There is no charge for any standard password reset carried out online, we only charge for the complete account reset. A complete account reset cannot be carried out online.

How Can I Download A Play?

Important Note: you MUST be registered with us AND you MUST be logged in to the site to be able to download plays.

You can navigate to the plays by various methods on the site, this guide is based on one particular play called “Cross Party”, which can be found under the ‘Comedy’ list in the catalogues and listings under the “plays” menu at the top of the screen.

  1. Log in to the site in the normal manner.
  2. Navigate to the play you wish to download, and ensure that you are on the actual listing page for that play. If you are on the right page (and the play is available to download), you will be able to see the download button as highlighted by the blue arrow in the screenshot below;

FAQ_13

3) Click on the “Download Full Show” button shown in the screenshot above.  You will see an information box appear which will confirm the status of your membership and confirm that your membership will allow the play to be downloaded. The illustration below is taken from a MAC computer, the information box on a Windows PC or Mobile Device may differ in appearance, but will have the same details within it:

FAQ_15

4) Click on the “OK” button and your play will start downloading in the background.

5) Locate the play in whichever location your device and browser have set, and enjoy!

Please note that different Internet browsers manage downloads in different ways, usually by placing them in a folder for downloads or in whichever location your own browser and device configuration dictate.

Our system has no direct input on where our plays will end up on your device!

If you wish to download to a specific location on your device, your browser may allow this via a “right mouse click” option, as in Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome or Microsoft Internet Explorer, to choose a location other than the default setup on your machine. Again, our systems have no input or influence over this action.

  • We are often asked… do we still stream plays? The answer is no, we do not.

HOWEVER… Some SMART phones such as iPhone allow you to listen to the play while it’s downloading to the device, and even pause/fast forwarded/rewound etc. However, if you lose the connection you might have to start again.

This is not the same as us streaming and we have no direct input/control on the behavior of these kinds of devices.

In the case of iPhones, you can either download and listen, or download to a PC and store on the device via the iPhone bookstand app or of course, via iTunes.
