Emma Taylor – DIRECTOR


Earlier this year (2011) Emma directed the UK premiere of Tennessee Williams' The Fat Man's Wife, produced the 5 star Edinburgh Fringe Festival production of NewsRevue and produced and presented Reelkandi TV’s first ever coverage of the Edinburgh Fringe.

In 2010 Emma directed and co-produced two World Premieres, Stage Fright and Marion Allen's Number One Hobby each receiving 5 star reviews. As producer of NewsRevue since 2001 she set the wheels in motion for the Guinness World Record for NewsRevue as the World’s Longest Running Live Comedy and received this accolade on the show’s behalf in 2005.  Her inaugural production of Lucky Stiff as Artistic Director of Canal Cafe Theatre, which she produced, directed and designed, was nominated for the Whatsonstage Award for Best Musical Revival in the same category as the West End’s My Fair Lady and Kiss Me, Kate.

Emma received Fringe Report’s Outstanding Achievement Award - Theatre Person of the Year, in 2003. Emma founded and was principal of the Norrie Carr Drama School for children and is also an actress.
